What's In Your Bag?

Anthropologie has a great feature right now about their new handbags for Spring - I love the way they are shot with items spilling out of them, and it got me thinking about the magazine editorials I have seen about what's in people's bags.  It feels like a trademark of their daily lives, as your bag is really a part of your daily uniform and helps you get through your day, whether its a workday or a weekend. 

So what's in my bag, you may ask.  My bag, which is a lovely navy Rebecca Minkoff tote with a blue striped lining, is chock full of necessities for my daily routine.  Along with my green Kate Spade wallet, I always carry a checkbook with a cute red leather cover.  Yes, I am still one of those people that writes checks (at least for the time being)!  I also carry a gold cosmetic bag (which is actually a pencil case) that contains Chanel lip gloss, Bliss hand lotion, Smith's rosebud salve and Blistex chapstick, mini mirror, nail file, ponytail holder, and a few bobby pins.  Of course I have sunglasses for sunny days - Chloe navy oversized glasses.  I also keep a small birthday calendar for all the important people in my life, and while I used to always carry a little notebook and pen for important thoughts and things to remember, I am trying to make the move to noting such things in my phone.  Lastly, I have my phone and ipod to stay in touch and keep me busy on the bus.  That's all folks - there's your view into my bag!
