An Amazing Weekend with the Princess Project!
For anyone that doesn't know, I volunteer with a fantastic organization called the Princess Project. The group's mission is to provide prom dresses and accessories to girls that could not otherwise afford them. It is truly an amazing organization and I am honored to have been volunteering with them for 5 years. For the past 3 years, I have been the chair of the accessories committee, which has become my favorite activity of the events. This past weekend were the first 2 giveaway days for this year. I spent most of my weekend there, helping girls accessorize their prom dresses and get ready for a fabulous prom! Here are some pictures from the event:
It was an amazing time this weekend, helping over 800 girls find accessories such as jewelry, handbags, tiaras, wraps, and hair accessories. I love seeing what dresses the girls choose and how it makes them feel. As always, it was emotional seeing girls feel beautiful in a fabulous dress, sometimes for the first time in their lives, and bonding with other women who are there for the same reason.
