Blogger Event @ Kate Spade

Well not only does Kate Spade have the most fabulous new website design, they also hosted a super fun event last night at the Grant Avenue store.  Thanks to Elisabeth from Mission Closet who organized the event with their clever staff, they had a cute little soiree with champagne and bites, and of course shopping!  The store looked lovely as always, with yellow being the key color.  It was explained to me that Kate Spade is focusing on one color a month as a part of their Year of Living Colorfully.  Yellow was quite the color of the evening, with bags, jewelry, shoes, and decor all back to this bright hue.  I did several rounds of the store and couldn't resist the shoe wall.  Yes, it was calling my name (as usual).  After trying on many pairs, I finally settled on two that I loved.

Yellow is the color of the month, hence this fabulous yellow decor.
The shoe wall - could NOT get enough!

Fabulous bags, featuring the Evangeline chain-handled collection that I loved.

Our lovely hostess, Elisabeth of Mission Closet, and Stacey of Hello Cupcake

I was also quite enamored with their new Evangeline chain-handled bag collection.  All the handles convert from short to long, making each fabulous bag even more versatile.  I also ooh-ed and aah-ed over the jewelry, especially some long chain necklaces with colorful beads.  At this store, they also carry some of the apparel line.  There were lots of cute pieces, some favorites being a black and white striped dress, pink tweed skirt, and lots of summery tops.  Pics of the shoes I bought are below - check it out!
