Boo!
Happy Halloween to everyone today! I love Halloween - it's definitely up there as one of my favorite holidays. I love seeing all the creativity that people put into their costumes, and of course seeing kids all dressed up and trick-or-treating. I thought I would share my costume pic with you - here I am as Cleopatra, with my Marc Antony. Hope you all have a fantastic Halloween!

Friday's Favorite Look 10.28
Today's look comes from Barneys where they are highlighting the new collection from Isabel Marant, a long-time favorite of mine. I also loved the street style feature on their blog, The Window, showing Isabel's looks translated into real life. I love this cozy but flirty look - it would be great with boots for this Fall weather.

Arm Candy
I am definitely into the current trend of wearing lots of bracelets together - the more, the merrier. I have gathered quite a crew of go-to bracelets now that I love wearing. Here are a few of my favorite combinations:
My 2 Chan Luu bracelets - one in rose gold, one in crystals and silver. So great for mixing with any bracelet!
My rose gold Chan Luu, mixed with a pyramid bangle from Forever 21, a multi-chain bracelet by Lime Jewelry, and a knotted bangle from Eco Citizen.
2 silver bracelets from J.Crew and another pyramid bangle from Forever 21.
Love this stretchy zigzag cuff from Forever 21 mixed with 2 beaded bangles from J.Crew.
A multi-strand link bracelet from Banana Republic with one my fave J.Crew pieces, a gold/rhinestone mixed link.
Last and definitely not least (I LOVE this cuff!) - my bow cuff from Madewell. There is nothing girlier!

Sunday Shopping: Mill Valley
Yesterday, I ventured across the Golden Gate Bridge for brunch in Sausalito (Lighthouse Coffee Shop is delicious!) and some shopping Mill Valley. I had only been to this cute little town once before, and hadn't had a chance to browse the shops there. Did you know they have a Blues Jean Bar over there? Just like on Union Street! There are also a few other great clothing shops and furniture stores. But the highlight of our wandering there was the Tyler Florence Shop - it's a beautiful shop with all kinds of cooking-related treasures from cookbooks to tools to linens. I had no trouble finding a few great gifts there - I even started my Christmas shopping early!!
I definitely recommend spending some time in Mill Valley for an afternoon, and checking out Tyler's shop. Our day ended with a quick stop on the way home to pick up a pumpkin! Getting ready for Halloween...

PS1 Update
The Proenza Schouler PS1 just got cooler - I love this new blanket jacquard fabric on the traditional silhouette. Just the way to interpret the Navajo trend that's been going on for Fall.

Friday's Favorite Look 10.14
I was so excited this week to see the sneak peek pics on Glitter Guide of the Kate Spade Spring 2012 line. In the usual Kate style, these looks had fantastic prints, optimistic colors, and that wink that we are used to seeing. The jewelry was no exception, with statement necklaces and bright bags. (The "eat cake for breakfast" tote - amazing!!). I chose the look below as my favorite based on the fun color combo and gorgeous accessories. I also love a great pencil skirt. It was tough to choose with all the fabulous looks!

Love This!
I spent my Sunday night catching up on emails, blog posts in my Google reader, and the newest issue of Rue magazine. This image caught my eye and made me think, "Now that's the way I want to start out my week. Being amazing." We should all be amazing, every day, shouldn't we??
And I also want to add that the newest issue of Rue is fantastic - great job and congrats to the whole team! I was lucky to attend their 1st anniversary party a few weeks ago, and it was quite the fete. What fun!

The Cape: Can You Pull It Off??
Now that Fall is officially here, it's time to think about new outerwear. One silhouette that I have been seeing everywhere is the Cape. I love the statement of this piece, but it got me thinking, "Can I pull this off??" Evidence of this amazing trend below... Guess I'll have to get one and try it out!

Oakland Find: Hawthorn
A few weekends ago, I went on a little East Bay adventure. After a delicious brunch (and long wait) at La Note, we ventured over to the neighborhood of Rockridge. If you haven't been to this neighborhood before, you have to check it out. It's full of cute shops, cafes, and great restaurants (Wood Tavern, Zachary's Pizza). While walking around there, I was thrilled to discover new boutique Hawthorn.
Hawthorn carries a plethora of beautiful lines, including Velvet, Amanda Uprichard, Mink Pink, and a new one to me, Waverly Grey, who make the gorgeous printed top below which I bought. This shop is definitely on my list as a go-to when I venture out of the city!
