NYFW: Prints and Plaids

Hooray!  I am so excited that yet another NY Fashion Week has begun.  I had a great Sunday curled up on the couch looking through images from all the shows so far, and am gearing up for a week of posts about just that.
First up, let's take a look at some prints.  My favorite prints so far were from Duro Olowu - famous for his bold and daring mixed prints, I am not surprised that he has yet again pushed the envelope.

And what would the Fall shows be without a little plaid??  Great for Fall and in dark colors, I was happy to see some plaid show up on the runway in the Libertine show.  Mostly shown in outerwear, plaid was as much a common thread as was the hand-beading on many of the pieces.
